I have been reading about houses built underground, or inside nature, like treehouses, and I will be featuring them in the blog as inspiration on how we can continue to inhabit our planet without killing it. Sustainability was just starting out as a movement when I was finishing Architecture school in the early 90’s, in Italy that is. I’m sure here in the US it started sooner. Though I myself am a city girl, seeing these wonderfully creative living environments is very stimulating to my imagination. And great ideas for the house you already live in can come from anywhere.

This looks very amazing. I would like to read more of this artikles about alternative ways of building houses.
Thank you, Mario. There are going to be a lot more posts like this. Joshua Lord, our tattoo artist friend, has built a green house completely “off the grid” and I am going to ask him for pictures of it and a little interview. And then he is going to build another one, and I am hoping to document that as well.
